More than 40 attendees registered for the webinar on Virtual Fundraisers on May 28 hosted by Nancy Manning with the Austin Nonprofit Meetup.
FUNauctions’ Gayle Stallings shared her recent virtual fundraising experiences along with the two trail blazing nonprofit leaders who have held virtual events with Gayle on April 19 and April 26 during the 90-minute webinar.
Joining Gayle were both of the nonprofit leaders, Cynthia Herrera, Executive Director with Project Transitions, and Ann McNair, Managing Director with Conspirare. The objective was for attendees to gain new knowledge and more than a glimmer of hope around fundraising possibilities in a time of COVID-19.
“Seeing how you are learning and adapting to this rapidly changing environment gives me confidence that we will be in good hands!” — Kelsey
Whether attendees needed to transition a currently planned in-person fundraising event to a virtual event or create a brand new virtual fundraising event, this meetup helped answer those questions. The panelists addressed all the stages of the changing landscape for fundraising since March from a shelter-in-place world to hybrid events with social distancing. A free virtual fundraising toolkit with additional resources was included as part of the registration fee of $9.50.
“Thank you so much for this terrific session. The virtual fundraiser has been such a major source of stress for us, and with an October event, a very difficult decision to make. Lucky for us, Gayle is our auctioneer and we are in great hands!” — Claire

• Draft mission driven script
• Choose fundraising event options
• Obtain corporate sponsors
• Choose your technology platforms
• Determine Run of Show
• Branding and promoting
• Stewardship of virtual fundraiser donors

“I was only able to attend during my lunch hour, but it was one of the most informative, and helpful, seminars I’ve attended.” — Holly
